In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Mix in the vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.

Bake the Cake:

Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

  1. Prepare the Lemon Glaze:

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more lemon juice or powdered sugar as needed.

  2. Glaze the Cake:

Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.

  3. Serving:

Let the glaze set before slicing the cake. Serve as is, or garnish with more lemon zest or thinly sliced lemon rounds for extra flair.

Conclusion:

This Classic Lemon Bundt Cake is not only visually stunning but also irresistibly delicious, with its perfect balance of sweet and tart flavors.

The moist, buttery cake paired with the zesty lemon glaze makes for a refreshing dessert that’s sure to impress at any event or simply enhance a quiet afternoon with a cup of tea.
