Classic Tiramisu: A Symphony of Flavor

Introduction:

Tiramisu, meaning “pick me up” in Italian, is a luxurious and elegant dessert that has gained worldwide popularity for its rich layers and exquisite taste.

6 large egg yolks

3/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions:

Prepare the Espresso Mixture:

In a shallow dish, combine the espresso with the coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside to cool.

Make the Mascarpone Filling:

In a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until thick and pale. This can take about 5 minutes.

Add the mascarpone cheese to the egg mixture, and beat until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks.
