EASY TO MAKE ITALIAN MEAT BREAD
Ingredients
or 1 pound ground beef
or 1/2 pound ground mild Italian sausage
or 1 small onion, finely chopped

or 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (I used orange, that’s all I needed had in the freezer)
or 1 tsp. Olive oil
or 1 tsp.Worcestershire sauce
or 1 minced garlic clove
or 1/2 tsp. Oregano

or 1/2 tsp. Basil
or 1/2 tsp. Parsley
or 1 beaten egg
or 3/4 C. Italian breadcrumbs
or 2 slices of crumbled white bread

or 1 T.Milk
or 8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese, reserving 3/4 C to cover , or 1/4 C. Parmesan cheese
or 1 C. marinara sauce, plus 1/2 -3/4 C.more to cover
Here’s how to easily make Italian Meatloaf :
Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the

onion and peppers over high heat for 3-4 minutes, then remove from the heat. Place the meat, onions, and
peppers in a large bowl along with all remaining ingredients, reserving 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese for topping.
Now dive in with the best tools God has given you, your hands, and combine all that is truly good.Once
everything is together, pour the mixture into a baking dish of your choice and shape. For ours I used my oval
Portuguese stoneware. Pour 1/2 to 3/4 cup marinara sauce over top and spread.
Place in the oven at 400 degrees for 50 minutes.Remove from the oven and top with the remaining cheese and
sprinkle with some dried basil. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes. Before serving, make sure the meat is
not pink. The baking time depends on the thickness of your bread. Mine was about 2 inches thick.
