Ingredients for Apple Dumplings
2 large Granny Smith apples
2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 can (12 oz) lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite or 7-Up)

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Apples: Peel and core the apples, then cut each apple into 8 wedges.
Wrap Apples: Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Place one apple wedge at the wide
endof each triangle and roll it up, tucking in the sides to enclose the apple.
Arrange in Dish: Place the wrapped apple dumplings in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Make Sauce: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the sugar, vanilla extract, and

cinnamon. Cook until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Pour Sauce: Pour the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the apple dumplings.
Add Soda: Pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the baking dish.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and
the apples are tender.
