baking sheet.Roast in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until they take on a pleasant aroma and a light
brown color. Take it out of the oven and let it cool for a while.
The third step

Form a ball with the candy spoon. Make sure half of the pecans are pressed firmly into the top of the candy ball.
The caramel and remaining halves should be treated similarly. The fourth step
Put some water (about a centimeter thick) in a pot and heat it over the fire. Place a heatproof bowl over the pot,
being careful not to let the bottom of the bowl fall into the liquid below. This creates a water bath in which the
chocolate can be melted.
Fifth Step
Place the chocolate chips in a heatproof container. As the chocolate melts, stir occasionally. If you want to make
the chocolate easier to work with, you can add a tablespoon of margarine. When the chocolate is melted and
smooth, remove the bowl from the heat.

Step Six
Using a fork or dipping bowl, carefully dip each pecan candy block into the melted chocolate.Cover with
chocolate and let sit until excess chocolate falls off. Place the painted group back on the baking sheet you used
before. All groups should be treated equally.
Step seven
We let the chocolate cool to room temperature and harden completely. This may take some time, but placing the
baking sheet in the refrigerator can speed up the process significantly.Homemade Turtle Candy with Pecans and
Caramel is ready to eat once the chocolate has hardened. Store candy in an airtight jar at room temperature for
up to 2 weeks.
Recipe Notes:
You can use store-bought caramel sauce instead of individually wrapped caramels. Once the caramel sauce has
thickened slightly from heating, you can continue with the recipe as directed.
If you want to give this traditional dessert a new twist, try adding almonds or walnuts. If you want to produce a
larger quantity, simply multiply the quantity of each item by two or three, depending on your needs.
