INGREDIENTS
- 3 tablespoons of butter (use vegan butter for dairy-free option)
- 1 cup instant dry milk (almond, soy, or coconut milk powder for non-dairy alternatives)
- 2/3 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)
- 1/3 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Mix ingredients: In a bowl, add instant milk powder, sugar and butter.
- Add Water: Pour the boiling water over the mixture in the bowl.
- Blend until smooth: Use an electric mixer or whisk to blend the mixture until smooth and creamy.
- Storage: If you are not going to use the homemade sweetened condensed milk immediately, you can store it in a sealed jar or container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or frozen for a few months for longer storage.Pro Tip: Freezing your homemade sweetened condensed milk is a great way to ensure you always have some on hand when baking and making desserts.
