Prepare the Cake:
Prepare the white cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into two greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
Bake as directed on the cake mix box, usually about 25-30 minutes at 350°F (175°C), or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.
