Southern Chocolate Cobbler
This classic chocolate is rich and delicious! Ideal for parties and gatherings. It’s fast, easy and always
successful.
Rich, warm, gooey, delicious chocolate is what I describe as classic chocolate cobbler.
If you love molten lava cookies, go wipe your wig on chocolate! Not only is it delicious and decadent,

but it’s also comforting enough to be made after a week’s worth of meals and decadent enough for
special occasions.
Ingredients
FOR THE FOLLOWING:
o 1/2 cup unsalted butter

o 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
o 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
o 2 cups flour
o 2 tablespoons baking powder
o 1 4 tea spoon of salt

o 1 cup milk
o 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
FOR:
o 2 cups refined sugar
o 1/2 cup unrefined cocoa powder

o 3 cups boiling water
o Vanilla ice cream, for filing
How to Make a Southern Chocolate Cobbler
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
2. Grease a 9×13 baking dish and place in the oven. Once the butter has melted, remove it and set it
aside.
3. Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, 4 tablespoons cocoa powder, flour, milk, baking powder, salt, and
vanilla. Pour the melted butter over it, but do not stir.

4. In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of sugar and 1/2 cup of cocoa powder. Sprinkle over the pan. Pour
boiling water over it, but do not stir.
5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is hardened. The bottom will be loose and sticky.
6. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving. To enjoy!
