Instructions:

  1. Prepare Meat Filling:
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Sauté the diced onion until translucent. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Once browned, drain excess grease.

  2. Add Flavor:
Stir in marinara sauce, beef broth, crumbled bacon, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Let simmer on low for 5–7 minutes to thicken.

  3. Layer the Lasagna:
In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce. Add a layer of lasagna noodles. Spoon more meat sauce over the noodles, then sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

  4. Repeat Layers:
Continue layering noodles, meat sauce, and cheese until ingredients are used up, ending with a generous layer of cheese on top. Sprinkle grated Parmesan.

  5. Bake:
Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake another 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
