Cheesy Biscuit Bake with Pepper Topping

A beloved family recipe passed down through generations—fluffy golden biscuits baked in a creamy, cheesy sauce and finished with melted cheese and a peppery crust. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or cozy dinners!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count)

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (optional for brushing)

Instructions:

1. Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

2. Arrange the Biscuits

  • Place the biscuits evenly in the baking dish.

  • If using large biscuits, leave a little space between them to allow expansion.

3. Add the Cream Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix the heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt.

  • Pour evenly over the biscuits in the dish.

4. Top with Cheese & Pepper

  • Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over each biscuit.

  • Dust with black pepper across the surface to create a flavorful crust.

5. Bake

  • Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden and cheese is bubbly.

  • Optionally brush tops with melted butter right after baking for an extra glossy finish.
