 Ingredients

For the Bread:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1¾ tsp baking powder

  • ½ cup milk

For the Apple Mixture:

  • 2 apples (peeled and chopped, like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

For the Cinnamon-Sugar Swirl:

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

 Directions

1. Preheat & Prep:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5″ loaf pan and line with parchment if desired.

2. Prepare Apple Mixture:

In a bowl, toss chopped apples with 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Set aside.

3. Make the Batter:

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk.

4. Assemble the Bread:

Pour half the batter into the pan. Top with half the apple mixture and half the cinnamon-sugar swirl.
Add remaining batter, then top with the rest of the apples and swirl.

5. Bake:

Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

6. Optional Glaze:

Mix ½ cup powdered sugar + 1 tbsp milk + ¼ tsp vanilla and drizzle over cooled bread.
