Prepare the Crust:

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish to form an even crust.

Refrigerate the crust for at least 30 minutes to set.

Make the Caramel Filling:

In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

Increase the heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil without stirring. Cook until the mixture turns a deep amber color, about 8-10 minutes.

Carefully add the cubed butter, stirring until melted and combined.

Gradually pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Be cautious as the mixture will bubble up.

Continue to cook the caramel for another 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

Allow the caramel to cool for about 10 minutes before pouring it into the prepared crust.

Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until the caramel is set.

Prepare the Cream Topping:

In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract on high speed until stiff peaks form.

Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the chilled caramel pie.

Serve:

Slice and serve the creamy caramel pie chilled. Enjoy this rich and luscious dessert!

Tips:

Caramel Color: Be sure to watch the caramel closely as it can go from perfect to burnt very quickly.

Whipped Cream: For a different twist, you can flavor the whipped cream with a hint of cinnamon or coffee.

Storage: Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Enjoy your creamy caramel pie, a luxurious and sweet treat that’s sure to impress!
