Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 1 jar dried beef slices rinsed and chopped
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Toasted bread slices

Method
 

  1. Rinse and chop dried beef into small pieces.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in flour and cayenne pepper, cooking for 45 seconds.
  4. Slowly whisk in milk until sauce thickens.
  5. Add chopped beef and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot over toasted bread.

Notes

Use smoked chipped beef for extra flavor.
Add vegetables like mushrooms or onions for variety.
Serve with hash browns or fresh fruit for a complete meal.
