- Preheat oven to 350°F, grease baking dish.
- Toss apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, lemon juice, and vanilla. Spread in dish.
- Mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle topping over apples.
- Bake 45–50 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.
