Ingredients
  

  • 24 oz broccoli florets
  • ½ cup red onion chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cooked bacon chopped
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vinegar white wine or apple cider
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls, whisk, cutting board, airtight container

Method
 

  1. Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, red onion, cheese, and bacon.
  3. Pour dressing over the salad and toss gently.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Add cranberries, sunflower seeds, or nuts for extra flavor.
Best enjoyed chilled and can be prepared a day ahead.
