- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time; stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold into wet mixture.
- Drop tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheet.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges lightly golden.
- Mix butter glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Brush glaze onto warm cookies.
- Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
Chill dough for softer cookies.
Substitute buttermilk with milk + lemon juice/vinegar.
Sprinkle sea salt on glaze for a sweet-salty kick.
