Ingredients
  

  • 1 pre-baked pie crust
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Prepare and cool a pre-baked pie crust.
  2. Toast pecans at 350°F for 8–10 minutes.
  3. Cook cream, milk, sugar, cornstarch, yolks, and salt until thickened.
  4. Stir in butter and vanilla.
  5. Spread pecans into crust, pour filling over.
  6. Chill at least 4 hours. Slice and serve.

Notes

Add bourbon or rum for extra flavor.
Use different nuts if desired.
Garnish with whipped cream or caramel drizzle.
