How to Make Char Siu Chicken
Prepare the marinade:
In a bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients until smooth and well combined.Marinate the chicken:
Add the chicken thighs, making sure they are fully coated. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.Preheat and prepare the oven:
Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with foil and place a wire rack on top.Bake:

In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the chicken with leftover marinade to get a glossy, sticky finish.Broil for char:
Broil for 1–2 minutes until lightly charred on the edges.Rest and serve:
