Garlic Herb Butter and Garlic Bread Recipe








For the Garlic Herb Butter:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (or 1 tbsp dried parsley)


1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Optional: 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes for a bit of heat


For the Garlic Bread:

1 loaf of French bread or baguette, sliced

Garlic herb butter (recipe above)


Prepare the Garlic Herb Butter:


In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.

Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can use a food processor.

Transfer the garlic herb butter to a small bowl and set aside.

Prepare the Garlic Bread:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Slice the French bread or baguette into 1-inch thick slices.

Spread a generous amount of the garlic herb butter on each slice of bread.

Place the buttered bread slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Bake the Garlic Bread:


Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the butter is melted and bubbly.

For a crispier texture, you can broil the bread for an additional 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.


Remove the garlic bread from the oven and let it cool slightly on a wire rack.

Serve warm as an appetizer, side dish, or snack.
