Homemade Payday Candy Bars

 

When it comes to candy bars, everyone has their tried-and-true favorites that they hold on to forever. It’s not

that we don’t branch out from time to time, but once you find your favorites, you tend to stick with them, right?

Plus, if you’re already obsessed with the flavors and ingredients of these favorite dishes, it makes sense to

replicate this combination in other dishes too! With that in mind, we decided to make homemade Payday Bars so

we have a dessert on hand when the peanut and peanut butter cravings hit…and boy are we glad we made them!

These bars not only taste like the original, but are also very easy to prepare.All you need are six ingredients and a

stove or microwave. You put the butter and peanut butter pieces in a saucepan and heat until the mixture is

melted and smooth. Then all you have to do is add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract and stir the

marshmallows until they are soft. Also. Pour half of this goodness into a 9×13 inch baking dish, sprinkle half of the

salted peanuts in the center, then pour the rest of the

Peanut Marshmallow mixture on top and sprinkle the remaining peanuts over the smoothed top layer light!

This dish takes just a few minutes to prepare and before you know it, the bars are prepped and ready to be sliced

​​and served.It’s a no-bake dish, meaning you can make it any time of the year without having to turn on the oven

or heat up the kitchen (which is even worse in the summer), and you can satisfy your candy bar craving in no time

INGREDIENTS

• 3 cups salted peanuts

• 2 cups peanut butter chips

• 2 cups mini marshmallows

• 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

PREPARATION

Melt butter and peanut butter pieces in a large saucepan over medium heat until smooth. Then add the

evaporated milk, peanut butter extract, vanilla and marshmallows and stir until smooth.Generously grease a 9-by-

13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray or line with parchment paper, then spread half of the peanuts

over the baking dish.

Pour the condensed milk mixture over the peanuts and then sprinkle the remaining peanuts on top.

Store in the fridge or let sit at room temperature until firm, then cut into bars and enjoy.
