Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 –4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons shortening or coconut oil

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls, electric mixer, measuring cups/spoons, baking sheet, parchment paper, microwave-safe bowl, fork/toothpicks.

Method
 

  1. Beat peanut butter, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Gradually mix in powdered sugar until the mixture can be rolled into balls.
  3. Roll into balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Freeze for 20–30 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate chips and shortening until smooth.
  6. Dip balls in chocolate and place back on the sheet.
  7. Chill until chocolate is firm, about 1 hour.

Notes

Notes:
Store in an airtight container at room temp for 3 days, in the fridge for 2 weeks, or freeze for 3 months.
Add sprinkles for a festive touch.
