Cheesy Hasselback Potatoes


To make Cheesy Hasselback Potatoes, follow these steps:


• 4 large russet potatoes

• 4 tablespoons melted butter

• 2 cloves garlic, minced


• Salt and pepper to taste

• 1 cup grated cheddar Cheese

• Chopped fresh parsley to decorate (optional)


1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).


2. Scrub the potatoes well and pat dry with paper towels.

3.Place a potato flat side down on a cutting board and cut thin slices into the potato lengthwise, about 3cm

apart. Be careful not to cut all the way through. You can place chopsticks or wooden spoons on each side of the

potato to prevent it from cutting completely.

4. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter and minced garlic. Brush the potatoes with the garlic butter


mixture, making sure to get the butter between the slices.5. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.

1. Place the potatoes on a baking tray lined with baking paper or aluminum foil.

2.Bake the potatoes in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until crispy on the outside and

tender on the inside.

3. Remove the potatoes from the oven and sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over


the potatoes. Make sure the cheese stays between the slices.

4. Return the potatoes to the oven and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and

bubbly.5. Before serving, garnish the potatoes with freshly chopped parsley if desired.

6. Serve the Cheesy Hasselback Potatoes hot as a delicious side dish.
