Ingredients:

4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Cook the Bacon:

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet, drain on paper towels, and crumble it. Set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce:

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.

Gradually whisk in the milk and cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Assemble the Dish:

Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes, spreading it evenly.

Add a layer of crumbled bacon (reserving some for the top).

Bake:
