4 large eggs

1 cup milk (whole, 2%, or any milk of your choice)

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

8 slices of thick bread (such as brioche, challah, or French bread)

2 tablespoons butter (for frying)

Maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh fruits for serving (optional)

Prepare the Egg Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground

cinnamon (if using) until well combined.

Soak the Bread:

Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt

and coat the surface.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are fully soaked. Allow any excess

mixture to drip back into the bowl.

Cook the French Toast:

Place the soaked bread slices onto the preheated skillet or griddle.

Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and slightly crispy.

Adjust the heat as necessary to avoid burning.

Remove the cooked French toast from the skillet and place it on a plate. Add more butter to the skillet

as needed to cook the remaining bread slices.

Serve the French toast warm, topped with maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh fruits, or any other

toppings you prefer.
