Irresistible Apple Cinnamon Bread Recipe



Apple Cinnamon Bread is a perfect blend of juicy apples, aromatic cinnamon, and moist, tender bread.

This delightful treat is ideal for breakfast, dessert, or a snack. Let’s dive into the details of making this delicious bread that will fill your kitchen with a heavenly aroma.


For the Bread:

2 cups all-purpose flour


1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg


1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup buttermilk


2 cups peeled, cored, and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)

For the Topping:


1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:



1 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tbsp milk

1/2 tsp vanilla extract


Step 1: Prepare the Oven and Pan


Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  1. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients


In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Set aside.

Step 3: Cream Butter and Sugar


In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.


Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Mix in the vanilla extract.

Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients


Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined.

Gently fold in the diced apples.

Step 5: Prepare the Topping


In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the topping.

Step 6: Assemble and Bake


Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.

Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
