Layered pasta salad
Layered pasta salad is an absolute summer classic for us. No barbecue, picnic or potluck would be complete without it. There are tons of delicious options, but if you want to spice up this summer staple, you have to try a layered pasta salad! Vibrant layers of pasta, vegetables and ham are dressed with a tangy dressing to create a salad that will impress family and friends alike. It’s a make-ahead dish, so you have one less thing to worry about when hosting or promoting
at your event.
Ingredients
DRESSING
or 1/2 cup mayonnaise

or ¾ cup sour cream
or 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
or 1 teaspoon sugar
or 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
or ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

or 1/2 teaspoon salt
or ½ teaspoon black pepper
SALAD
or 3 cups macaroni pasta, cooked and drained
or 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce

or half a red bell pepper, diced
or ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
or ½ cup frozen green peas, thawed
or ⅓ cup chopped celery
or 1 ½ cups diced ham

or ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
How to Make Layered Pasta Salad
1. In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, sugar, Dijon, Worcestershire, salt and
pepper.
2. Start layering the ingredients in a large bowl or glass dish: first the lettuce, then the pasta, peppers,
red onions, peas, celery, ham, olives, dressing and cheese.
3.Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 5 hours.
4. Toss just before serving.
