Making sugar fried donuts is a delicious and enjoyable treat. Here’s an easy recipe for classic sugary fried donuts:

Sugar Fried Donuts Recipe:

Ingredients:

For the donuts:

• 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 package) active dry yeast

• 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C)

• 1/4 cup granulated sugar

• 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus a little flour for dusting

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

• 2 large eggs

For Frying:

• Vegetable oil for frying

For coating with sugar:

• 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

Instructions:

1. Activate the yeast:

o In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the mixture and let it sit until it becomes

foamy, about 5 to 10 minutes.

2.Prepare the dough:

o In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Add the softened butter, activated yeast mixture and eggs. Mix

until a dough forms.

3. Knead the dough:

o Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5-8 minutes.4. First rise:

o Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for

about 1 to 1.5 hours or until doubled in size .

5. Roll and cut:

o Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it is about 1cm thick.Use a donut cutter or a round cookie cutter

to cut out the donuts and donut holes.

o Place the cut out donuts on a baking tray, cover with a towel and let rest for another 30-45 minutes.

2. Heat the oil:

o Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).3. Fry the donuts:

o Carefully place a few donuts at a time into the hot oil. Fry for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden

brown.

4. Drain and brush:

o Remove the fried donuts from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess

oil.5. Coat with sugar:

o While the donuts are still warm, roll them in granulated sugar until evenly coated.

6th Serving:
